Dr. Matthew Baker is a fellowship-trained general surgeon with Utah Surgical Associates, specializing in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University and earned his medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Baker further honed his surgical skills through a fellowship at Gundersen Health System in Wisconsin. He served 14 years in the U.S. Army as a general surgeon, including deployments to Iraq, Kosovo, and Macedonia. Now practicing in Utah County, Dr. Baker focuses on minimally invasive abdominal procedures, with particular expertise in bariatric surgery, hernia repair, gallbladder surgery, and intestinal surgery.
